Katie + Matt’s Whimsical Country Wedding | Chatham Wedding Photographer

I need to start off by saying… I LOVE this couple.  Katie and I grew up in the same church. I was friends with her sister,  and she was friends with my sister. I remember her being sweet and fun-  but that’s nothing compared to the woman she has become. She has this way of making everyone in a room feel special-  and her priority is to take care of everyone else before herself. This is not only evident through her friendships,  but also through they way she loves and respects her new husband. Katie was stunning-  you can see the emotion was flowing when her dad saw her in the dress for the first time,  and it didn’t stop there. They had a short and sweet ceremony,  which was packed full of sentiment and authenticity. It was an honour to spend the day with Katie and Matt- and I know they have a lifetime of love and laughter ahead.

Mélanie + Justin are Having a Baby | Blooming Peach Orchard | Niagara on the Lake Maternity Photographer

I always feel a little pressure when photographing friends,  let alone photographer friends. Mélanie is one half of the amazing photography duo “Mélanie and Justin” and is expecting her second son in a little over a month!  This fun and talented couple have their home in Niagara Falls and both work alongside my husband Scott. I was honoured to be asked to photograph Mélanie’s maternity session.  We waited for the peach trees in my backyard to begin blooming-  a littler longer than I had anticipated and enjoyed a warm evening basking in the golden sun.  Mélanie and Justin,  I can’t wait to meet little River in the next few weeks!

Justin-and Mary-Jean Bell - just so amazing. beautiful picture.

Erin Hare - Beautiful Mel!!! :)

Sylvanne Boudreau - love them all…fantastic!

Vineyards and Flowers | Stylized Shoot | Myers Floral + Stratus Vineyards | Niagara on the Lake Commercial Photographer

Yesterday I had the privilege of working with Hilary, of Myers Floral, as well as Stratus Vineyards in Niagara on the Lake. Hilary approached me to see if I’d be willing to take a few photos of her gorgeous floral arrangements at the local winery. Needless to say, I was so excited to do something a little different and take some shots of something stationary for once. We arrived at  Stratus in the pouring rain, and the moment I walked in the door I was blown away by the beautiful architecture, the walls of wine and the gorgeous view! If you are looking for a beautiful and intimate venue for your wedding or event, look no further than this one of a kind winery. The staff at Stratus were all so helpful and kind, and made us feel right at home as we set up and worked away. Hilary was my florist when Scott and I got married, and she left no doubt in my mind that her artistic eye would create something amazing for this shoot. So brides, if you haven’t found that perfect fit when it comes to a florist- call Hilary! She’s one of a kind!

Leah Langendoen - Awesome floral arrangements with the white birch! Love her work!
